Project Overview

"Kein Kläger" is the third part of Christiane Mudra's trilogy on NS-ideological continuities. The performance based on investigative research with game elements in Munich's urban space is dedicated to the judicial misconduct of NS-judges, their unhindered post-war careers, and the collective silence in the young Federal Republic.

Concept

An interactive game in urban space with eyewitness testimonies and actors, dedicated to the judicial misconduct of NS-judges and their unhindered post-war careers. The audience encounters actors and Augmented Reality clips with eyewitnesses specifically interviewed for the production in Munich's urban space.

Project Details

After "Wir waren nie weg – die Blaupause" (2015, Executive) and "Off the record – die Mauer des Schweigens" (2016, Legislative), "Kein Kläger" illuminates the importance of the judiciary.

At the center of "Kein Kläger" is the question: What indispensable role does/did the judiciary of the past, present, and future play in containing right-wing extremist and anti-Semitic violence?

The performance traces how much influence former NS-judges still had in the Federal Republic. Through the judicial misconduct of Judge Neithardt, the putschist Hitler was able to return to his support circle after just a few months in prison. In 1924, the successor party of the temporarily banned NSDAP became the strongest force in Munich.
